I'm kind of curious, have you ever heard of the Phoenix Wright games (where you play an attorney as the main character)? I've heard that due to those games being made in Japan, they end up reflecting the law system in Japan a good deal and in some different ways from what I've heard you are really screwed if you end up being accused of a crime in Japan, from people who've lived there. I've heard it could have some relation as to why there's a high suicide rate in Japan, even if there's a low rate of violent crimes and sex crimes in the country.
