The issues with the ACA come from almost every direction.

The current state of medical care in America is tough to really describe in a single post but allow me to try.

As many are aware, the US is in debt bad. And it's growing incredibly fast. One of the biggest things to help this would be a revision of our broken healthcare system.

With ACA (obamacare) it would move closer to a single payer system. This would immediate increase what the government spends on healthcare for those who cannot do it themselves. Many people are against it because they feel we will spend ourselves into bankruptcy (a possibility).

Many people who currently have healthcare through their employers are finding that their hours (and since pay is based on hours worked, their paycheck) from 40 (full time) to below 30 ( part time threshold). For these businesses their calculations have shown it will be more efficient for them to simply let their employees get coverage under the ACA than trying to provide it. Many people worry, or have already seen, their hours and pay cut drastically (25%ish) from this act. They don't want it because it of this.

Likewise, hospitals are currently required to provide care to people who are near death and require urgent medical care even if they have no money. Usually this falls on medicare provided by the government of some sort, however this almost never reimburses the hospital for the full price of the care. Thus the hospital loses money and must charge people with insurance more (their insurance company at least) to make up the difference. Many people who work for or with hospitals fear that some sort of limit will be placed on this and hospitals may go out of business (and thus their job) if the ACA comes into effect.

Many people also fear that the ACA will cause insurance companies to raise their prices in general just to remain afloat with the new system.

However we are not positive how ANY of these things will actually affect everyone. And there really is no sure way of knowing without doing it. It's possible ACA will help many people and save the country money. But with so many variables and people that could be negatively affected, it's no wonder why so many people are on both sides of the fence. Never have I actually seen the issue being that people just don't care about those who cannot provide for themselves. More so it's people worried that trying to help these people will lower the standards of living for everyone else though any of these ways mentioned. And when it comes down to it, who do you care about more? Some homeless person dying from cancer? Or yourself?

Yeah it is really hard to tell if we were just programmed by society to think this is something wrong or if it comes from a more primal instinctual claim towards our mates.

I could probably find this answer on google somewhere, but my work search history is bad enough without CAVEMEN MATING RITUALS in it.

Yeah it's not illegal or cheating. You really are just BETTER at the game.

But regardless once they figure out you are winning, and going to keep winning they just won't let you play. They don't want to give money away and they can refuse business to anyone.
