This is incredibly biased and not really steeped in any sort of facts. Everest has a summit to death ratio of just under 10%, making it one of the safer 8000 meter peaks. For reference, Annapurna is at over 40%, and K2 and Kangchenjunga and Manaslu are approximately 20%, and Dhaulagiri, Gasherbrum I, Makalu, and Shisha Pangma are all higher as well. Climbing at extreme altitude is dangerous no matter what you do. Of course there are some sketchy guide companies out there that are hungry for the money, but most won't let you climb if you aren't prepared (it's a hell of a lot of work for them otherwise.)
