I haven't drunk for four years. I am not a alcoholic,I just don't have the need for alcohol. I wish you well, hope you can visit Norway someday. Hiking and doing trails is easy, you can camp wherever you want to as long you don't trouble someone. Folks are friendly, there are lots of things and places to visit. The fjords and mountain districts are spectacular. I have not seen many traveling street performers, but there are some Romani beggars. Poor people, but it's hard to know if there are organised begging/mafia so I don't give them anything. Workaway.info is a popular choice, the climate is mild in the summertime, but father winter can be unkind. 15 degrees below zero is common, some places can drop down to -30 or worse.. -35 is not comfortable. There are possible to trek from Oslo to Trondheim, there even is resting/sleeping cabins along the path that is known as the pilegrim route, but a good tent and a sleeping bag is needed. It doesn't get really dark in the period April early August. Sommer temperature is around +15, it can get down to +5 at 1000 meters above sea level. Health care is very cheap, and good. Train and bus coverage is mostly good, but can be bad in not so populated districts.

I hope you stay safe and away from drugs! Perhaps you could do a gig with James Bowen?
