You have identified the problem: You don't know what you're doing wrong.

Here's the solution -- Learn this line, memorize it, use it often:

"If you're not interested in hiring me right now, I would really appreciate a bit of feedback on what I can do to get the job next time."

BAM! Now you'll have a few opinions from hiring managers to give you some idea of what the real problem is, and how to fix it. And the question might even serve to get the point across that you really do want a job, you're willing to take constructive criticism, and more importantly, you want to learn from every experience you have, including your interviewer. (Also, everyone freaking loves being asked for their opinion, feeling like they have something to contribute, etc.)

Breaking the game is fun.

I mean, not crashing the game, but making it unwinnable for ourselves, like killing essentially people in morrowind would, with a message and the option to revert to the last save (or not and keep messing around for fun for a while)
