Ive heard that its possible the space station was spinning and that they were both being pulled outward by centrifugal force. There is nothing in the scene that shows it and I cant really explain how they would have gotten into that position, but would that work?

What types of shapes are your cameras looking for? Are they only looking for rifles and shotguns or can you detect handguns as well? Are you taking the posture of the person holding the gun into account? I saw a video of similar technology but it seemed like the main problem was that security cameras have such low resolution you don’t get enough pixels to decipher small objects like a handgun vs a cellphone.
