You seem to have held a number of different jobs, as someone who's nearly 30 I find it difficult to know what I want to do. Does that feeling ever go away?

Is there any job that you have held that your really enjoyed and what was your least favourite job / role you have had.

As a Brit, thank you and I appreciate that you have opened up on here. Have seen some negative comments which you seem to have handled much better than I think I could of.

Just wondering what you get up to in downtime now days and do you still keep in touch with others from the army?

Below is a list of games I personally like (I'm in my 30s) but I grew up playing old school Doom and Tomb Raider 2, which got me into video games.

Note there is no shame in putting games on Easy / Story mode. Sometimes it's just nice to experience the gameplay and story without the stress of redoing a level multiple times. Also some games now offer Accessibility Modes which add stuff like extra health, easier quick time events, slow Mo buttons, auto aim etc.

Tomb raider (new ones) which you have played.

uncharted 1 to 4 + Lost Legacy (PS4/5) Male lead similar to tomb raider, bit like Indian Jones

god of war (PS4) and Ragnarok when it comes out (ps5) Great story no real need to play the older games if you don't want to. Great father son journey

last of us 1+2 (PS4/5) Post apocalyptic zombie esq story with a father daughter type relationship

spiderman (if you like comic heroes) (PS4/5) Really fun comic book game with a great story about Spiderman and his trials

batman Arkham games (again if you like batman) Fun beat em up makes you feel like a bad ass

Heavy rain and Detroit for a movie like experience, I was really surprised with Detroit and sad when it ended. My recommendation is to live with your actions and consequences and don't reload a save if something bad happens. Treat it like a movie. (PS4/5)

Borderlands 1, 2, 3 Fun shooter looter.

Call of duty (campaigns, especially Modern Warfare 1, 2 3 and 2019) Story mode is great and easy to get used to. Run shoot run.

Divinity original sin 1 + 2 (turn based RPG bit like dungeons and dragons, a bit of a learning curve but plenty of YouTube videos and tips) Fantastic RPGS with can eat weeks of your life. Reflexes won't matter in these as they are TurnBased (the game pauses automatically in combat and you take turns)

Far cry games (primal, 3, 4, 5 and soon to be released 6) Pretty basic in terms of story but great environments to explore and the gunplay is fun.

Elder Scrolls Skyrim and oblivion These are great games to get lost into. On console you can still install mods, if interested check out the Skyrim subreddits and people can offer advice on mods to make the game better visually and gameplay wise. Installing mods on console (xb or ps) is easy it's like a online store and you click "install" and that's it. Serious recommendation for both games. Oblivion is rather dated now but I lost whole summers to that game.

Bioshock 1, 2, 3 Dark and twisted but the story is fantastic

Assassin's creed (any of them I love them all flaws included)

Horizon zero dawn (PS4/5) Future with no understanding of what happened before female lead sets off exploring the world. Some of the talking can be bland but gameplay is great and graphics are awesome. New game coming out soon ish I think a d I would recommend playing the first beforehand.

Sorry for the long post but the above is my recommendations not sure if you have played them already but thought it might help.

Also don't worry about "failing" as long as your having fun, if you get stuck and frustrated leave the game for a bit and do or play something else less stressful. When I get like that I default to call of duty or Skyrim

Can you help with the below as I feel like I'm going crazy?

When asked "have you had suicidal thoughts "

What does this really entail, cos I always answer that i don't have thoughts of offing myself, or harming myself. Yet I get what I consider intrusive thoughts where I'd imagine myself dead, like laying in a bathtub, or when I'm cutting up some food part of me would be like hmmm I wonder if this knife would be sharp enough. Then I catch myself and just get on with my day.

Is that suicidal thoughts or is it "normal"

To be clear I do have depression, anxiety, loneliness, and possibly adhd or similar. I'm not on meds, and have not attempted or plan to hurt myself or others.
