Thanks so much for your post. Do you know if anyone before your grandmother had ALS in your family or did the gene mutate with her and then get passed down? My dad died from ALS when I was 20 (I'm 35 now) and now I'm having symptoms. No one else in our family has ever had it. I'm having weakness and cramping in my hands and difficulty swallowing with aspiration. EMG is next week and I'm terrified! How long did it take you to get your results?
