There is a surgeon at one of our clinical sites who will allow female med students scrub in on his cases "if they're attractive enough" among other sexist behavior, but he's a big wig at the hospital and it's daunting for students to report someone so much higher on the professional ladder. It seems he has become established enough to feel he can behave this way with impunity.

First things first, I love this idea. Love everything about it. Keep up the good work.

I have a two-part question. One, is there a group that you think might be particularly susceptible to engaging in dehumanizing thinking? And if so, what do you think might the biggest contributing factor, or most common theme among them?

(My amateur, high-school educated answer would be poverty. But I'm much more interested in what you think.)
