My grandfather has a go-to story that's kind of morbid. He retired as a Lieutenant with South Gate PD, but when he was a Sergeant he went on a welfare check with his (at the time) rookie partner because the neighbors hadn't seen the guy in a couple weeks. This was also a ridiculously hot summer. When they got to the house they saw through the back window that the guy hanged himself. His partner busted the door in and didn't realize that the pressure inside had built up so much (the body acclimated to it) that when it opened the pressure released and the body exploded. My grandfather slammed the door shut just in time to not get covered in corpse juices.
