Once humans finally travel to Mars, what research has been performed into knowing the soil has enough capacity to support the vehicle? Foundations for the first structures built? I'm a civil engineer, but majority of my family worked or works with NASA or Boeing's SLS, so I spend a lot of any free time I get thinking how civil engineers could be impactful in space.
