Do you have any idea what may have caused the tumor? Have you ever thought about it?

I kind of figured as much. That's what's so unsettling about it, like how would one prevent another tumor from occurring if you have no idea how the other one got their in the first place.

Good.

But let's say I am person who unknowingly drank radioactive waste one time then something that rarely ever happens, like only one out of every ten million people, just happened to me. It would be nice for someone to be like "hey, you definitely ingested some radioactive waste at one point, and that is what caused you to have this rare thing happen". I would be able to look back at all the stuff I ate and eliminate stuff to protect me in the future.

Bad example but, it's pretty rare for trains to derail but it gets less rare if they all keep going around curves at three times the speed limit. To stop eating radioactive waste is similar to stopping speeding around the curves. If I eliminate these things I could feel a lot more confident that these rare things won't happen again.

But if no one knows why something happened I can't expect it not happen again or to someone else, but I'm paranoid. I wish their was more research.
