Did the writers know from the beginning how Fringe would end or did they pull that off miraculously? How stoked were you about the Donald/Michael plot twist (if at all)?

I'd really hoped to learn the writers hadn't known from the beginning and did miraculously seam the story as they went along. It was brilliant, an amazing work of art that I don't think I believed was achievable after the regret of LOST.

I can't imagine the kind of pressure it must be to keep such a secret. I generally dislike secrets very much but what a fantastic surprise!
