What do you think about QtQuick/QML? This technology seem to be a direct competition to React Native as it allows to create almost native looking apps on various platforms including Android, IOS, Windows RT as well as desktop platforms. Would you recommend using React Native over QtQuick/QML?

Unfortunately no. In the answer you are talking about QtWidgets. QtQuick/QML is completely different concept. QtQuick/QML is not based on C++, it is based on Javascript-ish language and is quite dynamic. Yes, you can fall back to C++ if you want outstanding performance, but it is not needed.

Hello. I was pondering about building some kind of this homemade air conditioning for myself like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3YvF4eVQO0 . Theoretically it seems very good since the energy to melt ice is 330 KJ/kg and air has thermal capacity 1 KJ/kg/K and 1Kg air = 1m³ air. Which means 1 KG of ice should be enough to cool down 33 m³ of air 10 degrees. Do you have any experiences with this? Would you think it is good idea to use this for air conditioning in tent assuming one has access to ice? (I'm not stupid I know that creating ice in freezer and using it for air conditioning in that room is not possible).
