There's research that indicates some truth to this. Children and adults who have been exposed to copious amounts of trauma and stress are more likely to experience physical and medical difficulties. My father was one who went through an abusive childhood and served in vietnam (along with other traumas). I believe his mindset and pessimism played a significant role in not only how he dealt with life and gried but also his lung cancer and death. Thanks for your thoughts.

I'm a school psych intern! Nice to see a fellow school psych on reddit. I agree with everything you said... too bad some schools are still so behind on what's best practice. If you don't mind me asking- what's your experience been in your school with rti and the use of the discrepancy model vs CHC Theory? Any advice for a newbie would be great!! TIA for any input.
