Anything you would have wanted from a teacher when you were younger? (I'm a teacher and I have a 5th grader with albinism trying to see if you have any ideas that could help :)

Thanks!! I work in a low income neighborhood so I know he doesn't have the nicest things. He has glasses and I typically save him a seat in the front of the class (I'm the science lab teacher at my elementary school so I only have him once a week). But I'll remember these things! I just want to help as much as I can. I will totally offer a magnifying glass to him though if he wants that! awesome idea for worksheet work! Thanks!! I'm glad it's better for you now :) I can only hope it works out as well for him too!

Awww man this sucks to hear... sorry I have a student who has albinism and it sad for me to here he won't be able to drive as we don't live somewhere that is very public transit friendly. Super interesting though!!

That's true! I just teach in a poor neighborhood and just got me thinking about how much harder his life will be. I knew he had vision trouble but I never thought it was legally blind bad. (I'm not the primary teacher for him) thanks for answering though!

I’ve heard that many Turkish people believe in the Armenian Genocide and have even spoken out about it happening but that the government has shut down (jailed, threatened, etc..) those people who speak out that it happened.

Is this true (to your knowledge)?
