I put one in jail on Monday.

Sentencing occurred on Monday in a Queensland district court. 4 years in jail, with 8 months custodial.

I caught my finger in a running motorcycle chain/sprocket, about 20 years ago. The first few seconds were not painful. I noticed the excessive blood on the ground before any serious pain. Then pain, then shock, then hospital and all that jazz.

We in Australia, who do not have a useful constitution, have outlawed warrant canaries for certain context (e.g. journalists) in 2015.

I contacted the commission, because of a very loose suspicion that clergy was involved. It turns out this was not true. However, skip a lot of things, and the case went to court, without trial, which resulted in a custodial sentence. The specifics of the case are much worse than anything I have seen in the media, however, the sentence was lower. I assume this is due to an early guilty plea.

I would like to understand why. Who can I talk to and why can I not find any public record of the court proceedings?
