I haven't worked in a baskin robins in 15 years. And I can't remember the last time I was in one... maybe 5 years. It was like scooping granite. Jamocha was the 2nd worst and we had a woman get a fresh packed quart every week. We called her jamochabitch because she was always a bitch about it.

I remember watching a "making of" about that movie. The sound guy said that the T-Rex roar in the movie was a mix of a lion roar and an elephant sound.

Do you all go after the doctor when this sort of thing happens? I can understand a doctor innocently missing back or head pain, but full in paralysis seems like there has to be collusion of some sort (or maybe I'm giving the scammers too little credit)

I've been in my first home for 2 weeks now. The process was incredibly scary, and I pestered the shit put of my realtor, loan officer and home owners agent to make sure the process is moving forward. Their job was to stay on top of those things and my job was to stay on top of them.

In my state the banks are required to provide all the appraisal data in writing within 3 days (or I had to sign a waiver saying I waived that). Also after receiving the appraisal we had to wait at least 3 days to close.

The ONLY reason I was able to get through this process is because I used a local lender at a community bank and a local home owners agent with a LONG history of insuring my family.

If I went with wells Fargo or bank of America for the loan or with a home owners insurance company I had no relationship with, I wouldn't have gotten the house. If I had a question about the process, I could text my loan officer at 10 at night and he would respond.

Stay on top of them and make sure that your home owners insurance has already gone to underwriting and is approved. That is what nearly sank us (we went with a national company and when I asked them to confirm, their underwriter came back at 5:30 on the Friday before closing to say they wouldn't insure us. So we went back to our family agent and everything was so simple after that.)
