Can you tell me how many shootings would have been stopped by a more comprehensive background check?

I'm not against background checks, but honestly how many shootings have been committed by legally obtained guns without background checks?

Permitting guns on campuses is simply a reaction to dangerous situations that come together due to failures in multiple areas of our society.

The same could be said about gun control in general. Funny how the same argument is used.

I don't think that's the case. I understand what you're saying. But for example, let's say I purchase a firearm. I pass all of teh background checks and there is no problem.

Then someone decides to steal one of my firearms. How is a background check going to prevent that?

Also what about black market deals? Background checks will not prevent those either.

Again, I have no problem with background checks. I think it's a good thing. But I think too many people feel that it's going to solve the issue of gun violence.

These laws that are placed on firearms are only going to restrict law-abiding citizens. Criminals and murderers are not exactly known to follow the laws...so how is this going to help?
