If you 'make' somebody apologise, does it really mean anything? What I'm saying is I doubt they were sincere, they just wanted you to shut up.

Purely anecdotal evidence of course but as far as I see things we've actually regressed quite a bit in this regard. There were roughly 7-8 male teachers at my primary school when I attended it, I went back recently and there was only one.

I think it's because 30 years ago child abuse wasn't so much of a big thing in the public's perception. Since it's been reported on so much nowadays, the number of male primary school teachers has declined.

And basically, Reddit's audience (especially r/gaming and r/games) is incredibly intellegent
