Thank your for the important work you’re doing. In your opinion, what is the reason that FB drags it’s feet/allows these schemes to continue so long before taking action? Is it simply that it is the more profitable move?

Last cycle Georgia was ground zero in the election security debate. Most concerning were the allegations that then attorney general Secretary of State Kemp threw tens of thousands of legitimate voters off the rolls on flimsy pretenses, such as signatures not matching etc.

What would you say to the people of Georgia who are concerned that legitimacy of their elections is compromised?

What do you think is the best way to frame your findings in conversations on “Main Street”?

In other words, how do we inform “regular” people about this stuff in a way to get them to actually care?

P.S. Thanks for your incredible work! Stay Safe!

They may have been wrong in the literal sense that Amazon is a true monopoly, but you are wrong when you say that consumer behavior is the reason Amazon dominates their market. It’s a big reason, to be sure, but equally important is the way that Amazon uses their size to push smaller competitors out of the market. They have been known to take huge losses on certain products solely to undercut rivals that they later absorb through acquisition. See for example how they put diapers.com out of business.

Seems like any safer driving that comes from surveilling drivers would be offset by the aggressive quotas imposed on the drivers that might encourage speeding or other dangerous behavior.

In other words it’s hard to believe Amazon is just watching the drivers to keep them (and others) safe when they are also pushing them to deliver as quickly as possible.
