It definitely exists in the more rural areas of Montana, Utah, Wyoming, and Idaho. I did the road trip you described last summer, taking about 4 weeks to drive from Colorado to Washington state and then back again. I went on my own in late May and it is by far one of the best experiences I've had. Lots of empty campgrounds since it was early in the season and so much to explore. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Drank less beer and ate at fewer cafes, haha. I just realized that I forgot to factor in gas into the cost though so it probably was closer to $600 or $700. Also some of the national parks like Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons were a bit pricey but they were certainly worth it.

I stayed in campgrounds the whole time until I got to a friends place in WA so overall it wasn't that expensive. Each campground was about 10$ a night from what I remember. I think overall I probably spent 400$-500$ including food and alcohol, but it could definitely be done for cheaper.

Whats is your method like when designing? Do you use the computer or is it mostly hand sketching?
