Really dick move. The whole point is that progress IS happening and for that to continue you need to not be a dick to the people involved in that. Of course when you have assholes like you picking at the people who are trying to change things the people in charge that don't want to change things are only that much closer to keeping it that way.

The actors don't read the books so they don't know what happens to their characters. It allows better acting and better portrayal if they are just as surprised about their characters next move.
