Why does Sonic force a VOIP system and the ($$/month) VOIP adapter down everyone's throat? Like most of my friends and colleagues I don't have a home phone, nor do I need one, so why should I be forced to pay for it? Edit: I am still interested in Sonic, but it would be nice to get an option without the VOIP.

A few days ago I found that AT&T killed access to 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 (Cloudflare DNS) by updating the router to use 1.1.1.x/24 and 1.0.0.x/24, which they definitely don't own, internally. As your service in my area is provided by AT&T, how do you mitigate this kind of blocking sites through (AT&T) router firmware? Thanks for doing the AMA!

Why does the US not require reasonable driver training like most European countries? Better driver training would save thousands of lives every year.

I had to get a California license when I moved here. The license test standards are laughable compared to, for instance, Germany and a clear explanation, why so many Californians are horrible drivers. Whether the responsibility for driver testing lies with the state or the federal government, the minimum standards need to be raised considerably to at least provide a semblance of safety.
