This is going to sound like complete horse shit... But I love my team. My boss and I share nerdy hobbies, benefits are fantastic, and my coworkers and I work beautifully together. For a team of all women, I can't describe what a breath of fresh air that is.
Also, every so often we have a casual afternoon of drinking beer in the office and doing various video game tournaments. It's amazing to take a sip of beer while you're on hold with a difficult customer.
As far as the business itself? Working in customer service is the pits anywhere. Here, I don't have to deal with someone screaming at me, or swearing or threatening me. I can tell them to call back when they can compose themselves.
And, most of our tickets are below face value. We make our money in VIP deals or when a team we have a deal with goes to the playoffs. (San Jose Sharks was a good move for us.) I've bought tickets from my company for a third of the primary market, no fees. We don't do service fees for phone orders, allow cancellations in certain situations, and will exchange your tickets if you made a mistake and bought the wrong date. Other sellers? Good luck champ.
Category/prospective sellers, those guys are the wooorst.
I'm sorry if this is incoherent. I didn't get much sleep.
Maybe I ought to make a throwaway and do a PSA on how not to get scammed.
ETA: I fixed a weird sentence.

Hi Claudia! I'm so glad you're doing this. I follow your FB page and was super excited yesterday when you posted the AMA info.
I just wanted to say thank you. This has been a rough year and I needed some badass lady inspiration, so I rewatched Babylon 5 recently, and Ivanova was exactly what I needed.

My dad passed away in 2005, and watching This Old House together was one of our traditions - he always taught me to fix shit I broke, so that I wouldn't be dependent on having a man in my life. (He also taught me how to bake cookies and make pancake teddy bears, which are valuable life skills in general.)
