What would you recommend to someone who graduated with a bachelors in psychology and cognitive science and (two years later) is looking to start a career in the mental health field?

Thank you. I often find myself discouraged because it can be a difficult field to break in to, but you've given me hope and a inspiration. Helping people that can't help themselves is what my goal has always been.
