I'm confused as well about the basics here. What sort of pricing structure is there? How are exisitng electrical providers involved? If I "buy" power from my neighbor, is the utility company informed or involved? They're still billing me for that energy. Is it a matter of being credited the difference?
This seems like the primary sticking point for a lot commenters in here. We all know what blockchains are and how they work. I need to know how the pricing structure works. This could be a really good idea if the financials make sense.

My parents were recently mortified when they found a drugstore receipt for condoms in my brother's car. He's in his late 20s and was engaged at the time. (Happily married now)
If I still lived with my parents, I would absolutely leave more of those receipts and others from the sex store nearby all over the place. I love my parents, but they lie to themselves about what their kids are up to, and I feel like it break the ice for more adult conversations about it.

I write C++ for work, and I'm quite comfortable with the language, but hesitant to pick Unity (above other engines) because I'd like my skills to be transferable.
What programming/scripting langues did you know before trying C#? Was it easy to pick up? Did you find any footguns the hard way?

It must be difficult having that pressure on you. I know a few people who have had similar experiences with family pressuring them into approved career paths. It's awful.
Have you considered changing careers now that you've proven yourself? With a resume like that you could probably do anything you like now.
