Yep. Prosecutors are typically on the first rung of their career ladder into politics, and the win/loss record is critical for making that jump. I remember hearing something on the radio about a prominent local politician passing away, and they mentioned that he had a 100% conviction record as a prosecutor, and I just thought, "How is this something to be proud of? Either he knowingly put a lot of innocent people in jail, or he was really good at fobbing off the hard cases on other prosecutors."
