I'm interested to hear your opinion on mandatory voting, and how it might impact the whole "appealing to a polarised base" issue.

There are obviously long standing principles in the US about "compelled political speech" - do you consider them valid when discussing mandatory voting?

This is a wake-up call I needed.

I mean, the answer should probably just be "no" anyway and that'll be the end of the conversation.
