Hi guys,

Let's talk motivations. What's the thing that keeps you engaged day after day in malware research? I imagine each of you has a deeper or more individual reason than just "we keep APTs on their toes" -- is it being on the cutting edge of research, playing with the baddest viruses, or something else?

Awesome responses, appreciate it. I'm always impressed at the humility and collaborative attitude evident in the malware RE community.

And these certainly are interesting times -- keep up the good work. I, like most, am still a step removed from the ability to witness and interact with such things as directly as you all, and so your work, especially the publication of your work, is quite valuable.

By the way, reading the 2012 report on Flame was what made me pick up Radare and dive into disassembly. So thanks for that too!
