how much weight do you pick up (rough average) per route on trash and recycling? I work for NYC Sanitation. My daily trash route averages around 10 tons. it depends on the week of the month and time of the year. sometimes it's higher and sometimes it lower.

whoa?! 20-30 tons per truck per day? that's a lot to pick up by hand.

Hi Ella, I just saw episode 1 and I really enjoyed it. 2 questions. 1) I saw another documentary about neanderthals which claimed they had high pitched voices. What's your thought on this? 2) Do you think the demise of the neaderthals could have been due to disease introduced by the migration of humans out of Africa? When Europeans went to the new world disease was the big killer of indigenous people.
