Those things aren't necessarily inconsistent. Have you ever been in a large class? You feel like you know the professor VERY well because they are in charge and leading stuff and you watch them a lot. They don't know you nearly as well as you know them. Could be something similar. Not saying she is necessarily being entirely truthful -- I have no idea -- but I don't think those two comments together are a slam dunk.

What is different about a small, family-run slaughterhouse compared with a large slaughterhouse used by factory farms? Are the tools and processes all the same, just on a smaller scale, or do you do things differently?

What kind of science outreach do you think you will do in the future as you advance in your career?
