Could osama beat a bear in a fist fight?

My mother has DID, and it used to be extremely disconcerting when she would switch to child part. There is nothing like seeing your own, highly intelligent mother just become a three year old. However, over time, I’ve come to know her most prominent child part and care for her like a little sister.

From what I know from having a mother with DID who is active in the community, there are typically “host” parts who are the most prominent in the system and lead the system. So most of the time one part is in charge and they switch due to a trigger of some sort. However, this isn’t the case for everyone, and it can be much more chaotic, especially in individuals who experience amnesia and who have not done enough therapy to calm their system

Parts typically emerge due to traumatic events, such as abuse. They serve as a sort of mental shield a person puts between themself and the abuse. So a person born as Jane who is sexually abused may develop a part called, for example, Heather, and Heather would be present to suffer the abuse so that Jane doesn’t have to.
