It is by far the safest option both for personal and environmental impact. Even the old power plants hold up to that standard. The new ones are many magnitudes safer. And if we spent more on nuclear research we could have plants thst don't have the potential to cause damage at all. Molten salt reactors are pretty fucking awesome.

Boehner never wanted a shutdown, but due to House GOP politics, he has to go along with that messaging...

What I don't fully understand is why Boehner has to along with this. What exactly are the other members of the GOP holding over his head? What about GOP politics is forcing him to rein all the other house members towards this cause?
