Do you think things in India (and other countries that use elephants for work/tourism) are getting better as far as treatment of elephants and how they are viewed? I visited India a few months ago for the first time and was concerned about all the elephants I saw in tourist areas, like Amber Fort.

Thanks. I hope you are able to start some interventions in Jaipur soon! I knew they were likely mistreated but hate hearing it confirmed. :( It is so sad that elephants are used in this way, and so many tourists riding them who probably had no idea. :( I hope things will change where animals are used as tourist attractions and in circuses.

I hope this brings more visibility to your organization and more funds, I will definitely contribute some money but I know it is a drop in the bucket.
