Can i answer this? as a 19 year old Pakistani i think i can shed some light on this. Basically in my generation it's just fashionable to hate on India, we bad mouth it a bit but it really has no basis because we didn't experience any of the things our grandparents generation did and so deep down we don't care much, it's more of a leave them alone they leave you alone. My personal opinion is that Indians hate us a lot more than we hate you guys, or maybe it just seems that way, i doubt youtube comments are a decent way to gauge ones sentiments. Also i'd like to point out when Pakistanis and Indians meet out of their respective countries they're very civil and even friendly because they feel more of a kinship amongst each other than with the locals of the country they are in ( say America )

Can I answer you? im from pakistan, lived in karachi for 13 years and am going back again in the summers. The situation in karachi is not ideal and not the safest but it's not really as bad as the media makes it appear. Sitting in Islamabad I watch the news and i've i get worried and scared but thing is karachi is HUGE and the level of how fucked you are varies greatly depending on the area. Life for people there goes on and there is traffic and crime but they deal with it. For example walking in karachi randomly in a relatively safe area it's not likely you'll get shot, however if you wave your iphone 4 around you WILL be parted. It's a matter of taking basic security steps and everything should be ok. If you're a foreigner you just need to be extra careful but essentially it boils down to the area you're in, also just travel in cars. If your area is good the biggest issue you should face is traffic hopefully. Have a good trip.

This is exactly what i feel here, i mean who doesn't insult each other on gaming chatrooms? There really isn't much hate for us to draw on, i mean sure there's a lot of random abuses and oh pakistani's are much better looking and stuff but that's really more of a rivalry than animosity. Thought the one thing pakistanis and indians get serious about is kashmir, each believes the other wronged them and from what i learnt on reddit both countries teach very different versions of the conflict
