I bet an added plus of wearing the full costume is that you can hide facial expression pretty well. That's one of my biggest struggles when performing. My instructor had to keep reminding me not to make a face like I'm scared when doing a drop in one of my pole routines!

Huh, I didn't know the back of my knee could bruise.

Same! I'm just a sweaty-handed person. I pole great in the winter!

I've heard everything from roll-on deodorant to vinegar soaks. I'm looking for something to reduce sweating overall, not just prevent it during training.

My first time going before judges will be Sept in one of the hotter cities in the area so any advice here would be great!

Don't let flexibility stop you from trying something new! I'm the least flexible girl I know and it's something that I keep working on.

That said, there is stretching in most pole classes I've been to. It's enough to get me warm but not enough to get me to where I want to be. I take active flexibility classes to push me closer to my splits and backbend.

I struggled with touching my toes in the past and with regular flex training I can now plant my hands on the floor. It's one of those things you have to do regularly or it just goes away.
