I think it would be absolutely savage justice plus save Costco millions to just say no returns on those mass quantity purchases in these recent months. Honestly anyone complaining is going to be subject to pretty harsh open ridicule.

They probably do it out of obligation. Some people will go in there with something being their dream, and it's utterly failing. Usually for venture capitalists like the people on the show they arn't really interested in investing in businesses that are failing. Stalled due to capital constraints? Sure! But those people sadly just dump every fiber of their being (and all of their money) into a terrible business and then get 5 people to not only crush their over-optimstic dream of it surviving, but they will tell them that their business is actually just terrible.

They problably honestly do this with every contestant just to make sure the person isn't going to kill themselves or drink themselves to death etc.

It should be noted that both dynamite and TNT are more unstable explosives than C4 is.

to further on this a bit, I believe the "Acceptable rate of failure" for a lot of the mass bombing runs was around 5-10%. The issue is that there were literally millions of small bombs dropped and 5-10% of them are still there. They knew lots of the bombs would fail. They just didn't care. Its a really fucked up "We're at war" mentality where if the bombs fail who cares. Then 40 years later the nation is littered with bombs. Same HUGE problem with landmines in many many many places.

I'd be willing to bet he will poll higher after your story than before. I'd love to be proven wrong though.
