I saw the successful businesses like some factories and fastfood restaurants (like McDonald's) are successful because they do a lot of work flow studies. There are also industrial engineers that i know are sometimes used to up efficiency.

Do you think these measures or similar things can or should be mandated in the planning of all hospitals or critical clinical care facilities? Is there a blueprint they can follow thats already available?

Do you think the problem is bigger than any one site? Is this an urban planning issue?
