I'd say that 60-70% of medications in any community pharmacy come from manufacturers based in India.
I currently work at a state run psychiatric hospital and would back up my claim with pictures of the boxes, but we're not allowed to have phones or cameras. But Lupin, Dr. Reddy's, Sun, Aurobindo, Cadila are all Indian companies and are all very popular generic manufacturers.
GlaxoSmithKline (which is a pretty big brand manufacturer) is partnered with Dr. Reddy's. Pfizer has connections with Aurobindo.

I have a friend with that problem. It's an allergy for her, I'm not sure what the specific ingredient is, but whenever she uses something with it, her lips will peel like crazy. It happens with lip balm too.

You do realize that a vast majority of drugs that you receive from any local pharmacy come from overseas? And that the majority of the ones that come from overseas are Indian?
They are FDA approved and go through the same testing that drugs manufactured in the states do.

You'd be surprised how many medications you take are actually made in India, I think.
Sun, Lupin, Dr. Reddy's, and Aurobindo are all very popular generic brands that you'll find in any pharmacy in the US, and all are Indian companies.
Source: Have worked in multiple pharmacies (who use different drug suppliers and warehouses to get their drugs).
