A few friends of mine made a low budget feature that was released five years ago yesterday. I make an appearance very briefly. We have recently been talking about writing something new. Do you have any advice on creating a film on a limited budget whilst scheduling around full time jobs and family commitments?

Here’s the film. It comes in at about 85 minutes. It’s a mockumentary about a couple of straight-to-DVD film producers who want to make a name for themselves and end up trying to make an ambitious science fiction epic (that also happens to be a porno).

Botrytized wines are delicious, especially if you are a fan of sweeter dessert wines. I didn’t know much about the process until I read the Ben Aaronovitch novella ‘The October Man’. It’s fascinating stuff. Well worth falling into a Wikipedia hole if you like horticulture, wine or science!

Hey James.

Are you and Joel Veitch related? I was just chatting with my friend about B3ta and the “olden days” of the internet when this AMA appeared. Coincidence? Conspiracy? Who knows!

I have intermittent issues with IBS that tends to flare up when I am stressed, so I can definitely see that there is a psychological component that can affect and is affected by the gut.

A combination of a low FODMAP diet to reset my system, meditation and Alflorex & peppermint oil capsules have improved my situation immensely.

Unfortunately, in the last few weeks I have been put on unpaid leave at work and the worry has led to me falling back into comfort eating. Do you have any other tips that might help?

You also mentioned how the gut biome works in relation to cancer. A few years ago I was diagnosed with Lynch Syndrome. Is there anything in particular with relation to my gut that I can be doing to help?
