I think you miss the point. A majority of people in that city defended the rapists, defended the football program, and by their silence did not change a thing. The people in power didn't change a thing. You don't like the perception? Then do something to change it.

You say there's nothing you can do? Sorry, that's not good enough. If enough people voice their displeasure, action is taken. Hell, the ONLY reason this went to trial is because it went viral.

Many of the same police, politicians, school officials and football coaches are still there. If enough people didn't approve, they wouldn't be...

I'm happy that you and Jr have worked things out. I was sad for both of you that the workplace had become so toxic on both sides it affected the family.

Athletic coaches have been fired for a LOT less....and without a criminal conviction. At the very least, he worked on covering up the crime and fostered an environment that was conducive to such behavior.
