UPDATE:

From his facebook:

Update: So Chuck is having internet issues and is not able to get back online. He had already started to answer questions before this happened, but right now it looks like he may not be able to get online tonight. Either way, we will reschedule the AMA and Chuck will go back and answer existing questions from tonight, as well as new ones. Apologies to all, and keep an eye on the page, b/c if Chuck IS able to get back online tonight, we're back in business.Update: So Chuck is having internet issues and is not able to get back online. TL;DR - Chuck's having "internet issues." He probably won't finish his AMA tonight.

Hey Chuck...

Big fan, read'em all.

My favorite has always been Invisible Monsters.

What was going on in your life when you wrote it? Were you going through identity issues of your own, at the time? Is the main character a reflection of yourself in some way?

Thanks for doing this.

That's so sad... I guess that's what happens when you leave Neverland and grow old. Estranged parents... Taxes.

It makes me sad that so many schools have dropped their arts programs. Why live if there is no culture?

Also to add to this, I was a band kid growing up and in college but in my day job today I'm a software developer. I can say that without a doubt my music training has made me a much better programmer than I would have been without it. I know the two seem completely unrelated, but I believe music is the ultimate synthesis of the mind and the heart... combining the highly technical with the highly creative. My boss has said multiple times I'm his favorite to work with for solving problems becuase I am often the one who comes up with the most elegant solutions to complex engineering issues. Music gave me the ability to think deeply and in abstraction both technicaly and creatively at the same time, and also the skills to practice and learn anything I am interested in. It's a shame more people do not see the value in music education, even if many of us go on to do other things in life.
