Any plans for the giant ground sloth? I hear they were a key part of spreading the seeds of Joshua Trees? http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=17628032

Are you considering having space for certain species fan clubs on the Revive and Restore site? Or perhaps a voting/discussion section? It would be nice to get a break down of the potential problems and benefits of each species...

I would see several benefits:

  1. A centralized resource of the pros and cons of deextincting of each animal (Sabertooth tiger would eat toddlers and cause a PR crisis; Giant Ground Sloth has no animal that could birth it using current technology)

  2. In Stewart's words, "raising a flag". The specific animal pages would allow people to find each other who are interested in the same animal. This may lead to someone doing a thesis or research on an animal and inspire further research on specific animals.

  3. May create spin-off projects that focus on one animal: The Mammoth Project, Revive Carolina Parakeet, etc. This would allow the process to happen sooner, rather than relying on the limited resources of Revive and Restore.
