Thanks so much for doing this AMA. I want to go back to school really bad and find a few weeks long volunteering gig working with Shark researchers, to help get my foot in the door experience wise, this is inspiring me to really go for it.

Does your group have citizen science volunteer opportunities? I volunteered with the RJ Dunlap group in Miami after an AMA from a Shark Biologist who works with them and it was incredibly fun and rewarding!

Please, I beg you(producers of Discovery Shark Week specials), stop green lighting the fake crap. I had to explain to more than one person last year that the Megalodon special is not real. Science Fiction shows like that have their place in entertainment, but not during a week of educational awareness. I cant watch shark week anymore after that stupid Submarine special last night, and I have been a huge fan since 1987.
