I'm contemplating making an adult-themed game (not like yours at all, BTW) and had a chance to speak to a game publisher about it. He said "You're nuts--no publisher on earth will pick up this product, and no store will carry it. People will boycott a company just for including this in their product line."

So what's your secret? Self publishing? Or are there publishers who are willing to go out on a limb with raunchy or otherwise distasteful games?

A monopoly on Monopoly, heh.

I'm not worried, my game resembles Hearts and Spades more than it resembles a board game. It has real strategy. Each player is a drug dealer, but one player has a card which designates them a narc, and they are the only one who knows that. So the goal is to deal drugs with other players, but never ever sell to the DEA agent, or you forfeit all your profits for that round. I'd tell you more, but then I'd have to kill you.

The TL;DR is that he's really good with Rubik's cubes. Just like card magicians can make cards do seemingly impossible things, this guy can work the cube.

That's a great point, but my game isn't about sex. It's actually about drug dealing. But the idea is the same. Maybe "head shops" would carry it for fun.

It's not a trick per se, it's a move that's used in a thousand card tricks.
