Do you see tensions reaching a breaking point soon? Will they ever? It felt like Ferguson was the break, and then Eric Garner, and then Baltimore, Sandra Bland, etc etc. Every day there's a new story that feels like it HAS to be the straw on the camel's back, but it never is. I've heard that the BLM protests have paralleled the civil rights movement of the 60s in some ways, do you think that's a fair comparison? If it is, based on the historical parallels- what happens next? We've already marched on Washington, on Times Square, at the Mall of America, and yet there's no sense of relief or "good job, us!" Just another new story of someone getting killed.
Also, much gratitude to deray for his tweets, they kept me updated and engaged when I was out of the country.

Thanks for the response. It's important for me and other white allies to realize police brutality didn't "start" in Ferguson, it's just the first time the resistance was loud enough to reach us. I hope the change is coming sooner rather than later

Do you live in a place with a large Hispanic population? I can't imagine how much you must get called güero if you do. I got that all the time when I lived in the Southwest, and I'm not even blonde
