You may not know this but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. You said funding was suspended which I can assume would pause most of the clinical trials/ research etc. Were the patients / subjects of trials/therapies informed of said deception or were they fed some bs line to cover the university from lawsuits?

This ^ Prisons are still a growth industry & sometimes they're an (unfortunately) good source of jobs for some towns. As a result, some folks have a vested interest in keeping the status quo w/r/t our current incarceration levels. So even if marijuana arrests are a small % of the incarcerated folk, that's still a % they'd rather not lose.
