My guess is OP was outside the return period and/or didn't have a receipt, complained, and the manager on duty caved and gave them store credit. That sounds exactly like someone who would spend $200 on a TV mount would do.

Aww, man! I was in that seat when I went when I was eight years old. I was leaning over the rail looking for the shark and it came up right in front of me. It was the most awesome thing in my life at the time.

I would imagine for how long that show has been on the air, and how much money it makes, that the production quality of the sets is pretty high.
