Fellow TV operator here. Sitting in my TV truck right now actually waiting for our vactor to fill up on water. Got our root cutter completely wedged on grounding rod in the line right now!

What interface / inspection software do you use? Pipetech? Granite?

Ya I just wanted to salvage the blade as it's my only 15" one and the shop is an hour away right now haha. We got her unwedged. Onto the next section.

Some more relatable questions...

  1. Whats the most footage you've gotten done in a days work?

  2. Do you do anything other than TV inspection like grouting, point repairs, or manhole rehab?

  3. Do you guys do a lot of out of town work?

  4. Ever heard of Carolyn Corporation?

Most sewer pipes are jointed sections. It's very easy for objects/debris to get wedged or caught up on these joints. Over time it will build up to cause a 'dam' or even at times a complete blockage. Grease is the devil in this line of work. So are tampons.
